Sr Manager, Cloud Engineering – hybrid:
Our client is looking for a dynamic and visionary Cloud Engineering Manager to take the lead in driving cloud initiatives and innovations. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of teams, influencing cloud engineering efforts and overseeing FinOps initiatives. What You’ll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to create and define comprehensive cloud strategies, including governance, security, and cost management frameworks.
- Provide architectural consultation to application teams, guiding them in designing scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions.
- Partner with finance teams to monitor, forecast, and optimize cloud spending, ensuring cost-efficient resource utilization.
- Lead cloud initiatives and mentor multi-functional teams indirectly, offering technical guidance and fostering collaboration across departments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards by establishing governance frameworks that prioritize risk management, security, and operational control.
What Gets You the Job:
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in Cloud Engineering, including experience in hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration strategies.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OCI, or Azure, with a strong focus on cloud cost management and optimization.
- Proven ability to lead teams indirectly, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong proficiency in cloud security, governance, and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Skilled in cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes), along with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
