Our client is seeking an experienced and adaptable Director of Accounting for a contract engagement focused on providing leadership stability, technical accounting support, and operational oversight during a critical period. - Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $65-$70/hr W2 + benefits

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and manage mon65 65th-end and quarter-end close processes with a focus on inventory, COGS, and supply chain accuracy.
- Oversee reconciliations and ensure the integrity of balance sheet accounts across multiple entities.
- Support ongoing audit and compliance activities, including preparation of documentation and technical accounting memos.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to the accounting team and ensure continuity of operations during the transition period.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and contribute to operational efficiency.
What Gets You the Job:
- CPA certification required, with strong technical GAAP knowledge and experience in both audit and corporate accounting.
- Solid understanding of ASC 606, ASC 842, and experience writing technical memos.
- Proven leadership in managing accounting teams and supporting close cycles under tight deadlines.
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with AS400, Adaptive, Essbase, and Showcase is a plus.
- Flexible, resourceful, and comfortable working in dynamic environments without rigid structure.
